Quick setup
Use a quiet, ventilated spot on level flooring near an outlet. Add compatible litter to the fill line, then leave the unit off while your cat investigates.
Check these basics
- Measure the full footprint and vertical clearance, and do not place the box where your cat will feel cornered.
- Too much litter can affect sifting; too little can weaken clumps. Use our litter guide if you need help choosing.
- Keep the old box nearby until the new one is being used reliably.
Ease your cat in
Let them investigate
Place the unit where the old box was and let your cat sniff around it powered off at first.
Keep the old box briefly
Leave the previous box nearby for a few days so there's always a familiar option.
Run the cycle when they're away
Let your cat associate the box with a clean surface, not a startling motor, early on.
Remove the old box gradually
Once they're using the new one reliably, phase the old one out.
Set up the app (if it has one)
Connect Wi-Fi and enable notifications for waste-drawer status and usage. It's optional, but drawer alerts make it much easier to stay ahead of odor.
