This Privacy Policy explains what personal information LitterReserve ("we," "us," or "Service Provider") collects when you use our website and book a service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By booking with us, you agree to the practices described here.
We keep this simple on purpose: we collect only what we need to schedule and perform your service, we don't sell your information, and you can ask us to correct or delete it at any time.
Information We Collect
When you book a service, we collect information you provide directly:
- Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
- Service location — your street address, apartment/unit, zip code, and any parking notes you share.
- Equipment details — the brand, model, and nickname of the automatic litter box(es) you'd like serviced.
- Scheduling preferences — your preferred date, time window, and how you'd like us to confirm (text, email, or call).
- Anything else you tell us — notes you add to your booking or send us by email.
We also receive limited technical information automatically from our hosting provider (such as your IP address and browser type) as part of normal, secure website operation.
ReserveBox early-access list. If you join the free ReserveBox early-access waitlist, we collect your email address and ZIP code, and — only if you choose to answer the optional research survey — details you volunteer about your household (such as number of cats, cat size, current litter box, size and delivery preferences, whether you'd test a prototype, and any comments). Joining the list is free, does not place an order, and does not start a subscription.
Section 2How We Use Your Information
We use the information above only to run our service, specifically to:
- Schedule, prepare for, and perform your cleaning visit;
- Contact you to confirm your appointment, arrival time, or service-area coverage;
- Process your booking deposit and, after service, invoice any remaining balance;
- Provide receipts, reminders, and customer support;
- Maintain your service history and let you know when it may be time to schedule another cleaning;
- Keep records required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes;
- For the ReserveBox early-access list, send you product-development and launch updates and, where relevant, prototype-testing invitations, and use aggregate survey answers to guide product decisions.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising to third parties.
Section 3Payment Processing
Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. When you pay your deposit, your card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout page — we never see or store your full card number. To help us prepare and invoice your visit, we attach booking details (your name, phone, service address, zip, equipment, schedule, and the estimated service total) to the payment record in Stripe.
What we don't send to Stripe: we never place gate or door codes into payment records. See Section 5.
Service Providers We Share With
We share information only with the vendors that help us operate, and only as needed:
- Stripe — payment processing (see Section 3).
- Resend — our email provider; sends customer booking confirmations and appointment reminders, plus operational alerts to us.
- Formspree — delivers booking requests from outside our standard service area and ReserveBox signups, and serves as a fallback for operational alerts to us.
- Google Calendar — stores appointment and customer follow-up records, including the contact, service, and scheduling details needed to manage future cleanings.
- Google Analytics — measures how the site is used. For the ReserveBox list we send only non-identifying events (for example, that a signup occurred or which size was preferred); we never send your email address, full ZIP code, or free-text answers to analytics.
- Google Ads — measures advertising performance. Only after Stripe verifies a completed service booking, we send the booked value, USD currency, and a unique Stripe transaction ID for conversion measurement and duplicate prevention; we do not send contact, address, or card details.
- Cloudflare — provides DNS, network security, and identity-based access controls for our private administrative tools. It may process network and request metadata, such as IP address, browser information, access time, and the authorized administrator's identity, while transmitting protected administrative traffic.
- Vercel — hosts our website.
Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Section 5Access Codes & Sensitive Details
We intentionally do not collect gate codes, door codes, or alarm codes during online booking, and we never store them in payment records. If entry details are needed, we arrange them with you separately once your visit is confirmed, and we don't retain them longer than necessary to complete your service.
Section 6Data Retention
We keep your booking and service records for as long as you are a customer and as long as needed for the purposes in Section 2 — including legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or securely retain it only as the law requires.
Section 7Security
Our website is served over encrypted HTTPS, and we rely on established, security-focused providers (Stripe, Google, Cloudflare, and Vercel) for payments, scheduling, record storage, access control, and hosting. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and limit access to it.
Section 8Your Choices & Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of non-essential messages at any time. To make a request, just email us — we'll respond promptly. Note that some records (such as completed-transaction and tax records) may need to be retained where the law requires.
Section 9Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Section 10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
